Child Bishop

In 2008, reviving a medieval tradition a 13 year old boy was inaugurated as the first Child Bishop of Wellingborough. The Child Bishop holds office from St Nicholas Day (December 6th) to Holy Innocents Day (December 28th) and during that time he/she, wearing cope and mitre and carrying a crozier, enacts the role of a Bishop in services.
